He is survived by: his wife Inge Smothers Abbott of Bedford, KY; his children, Raymond Abbott, Jr. (Cathy) of Milton, KY, Chris Abbott (Amanda) of Milton, KY and Michelle Madsen (Kevin) of Indianapolis, IN; his siblings, Chester Abbott of Campbellsburg, KY, Patricia Roberts (Dennis) of Campbellsburg, KY, Carol Sue Hettinger (Tony) of Crestwood, KY and Melvin Abbott (Tammy) of Buckner, KY; and his grandchildren, Justin Raymond Abbott, James Christopher Abbott, Samantha Adrian Madsen, Noah Napier, Makayla Jane Abbott and Charlie Abbott.
