She was predeceased by: her parents, Williard Hackney and Ruth Hackney (Johnson); her husband Wilford B. "Wick" Newby; and her brothers, Earl, Sam and Bob Hackney.
She is survived by: her son Kevin; her daughter-in-law Belinda Newby of Madison; her sister Mary Macon of Bedford; and her granddaughters, Mackenzie and Alexandria Newby of Madison.
