He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence George Adams and Jeannett Farrell Adams; his brothers, Clarence Edwin Adams and Kenneth L. Adams; his sisters-in-law, Bennie May, Sandra E. Adams and Dorothy Adams; and his son Michael Allen Shepherd.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Delores Taylor Adams of Bedford, Kentucky; his children, David Bird (Loretta) of Bedford, Kentucky and Barbara Daugherty (Lee) of Bedford, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Brandon Bird (Amanda), Noah Bird, Paul Bird, Kyle Daugherty and Olivia Daugherty; and his sister-in-law Bonnie May of Madison, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Trimble County Animal Shelter.
