He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur "Jip" Hardesty and Stella Mae Hardesty (Maupin); his wife Priscilla Parrish; his siblings, Charles Hardesty and Lorene; and his brother-in-law Robert Hardesty.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Hardesty (Roger Ward) of Milton, Kentucky and Benny Dean Hardesty (Donna) of Campbellsburg, Kentucky; and his stepdaughter Lisa Profumo (Carl Lanore) of Louisville. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Firefighters Widows and Orphans Fund.
