He was predeceased by: his father Estill Newsome; his granddaughter Ava Justice; and his siblings, Bobby Gene Newsome, Alma Jean Carter and Patricia Ann Spath.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Kendrick of Robinson Creek, Jr. of Kentucky, Anthony Allen Collett of Hi Hat, Mark Barker of Hi Hat, Kentucky, Janie Newsome of Price, Rosalee Henson of Ligon, Mary Ann Newsome of Lawrenceburg and Marquita Rister of Hi Hat, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Paisley Kendrick, Brynlee Smallwood, Lindsey Castle and Lee Castle; and his siblings, Roger Lee Newsome of Andrews, John C. Newsome of Michigan City and Nora Johnson of Hi Hat.
