He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hackworth and Francis Vanderpool Hackworth; and his sisters, Revis Owens and Rushie Sparkman. He is survived by: his children, James Hackworth of Michigan, Charles Hackworth of Somerset, Norma Shaver (George) of Jonesville and Crystal Plummer (Michael) of Waterloo, Indiana; and his siblings, Ralph Landon, Glen Hackworth (Rose) of Garrett, Donnie Hackworth of Martin, Terry Hackworth of Jeffersonville, Roy K. Hackworth of Michigan, Ollie Martin of Homer, Avis Jordan of Homer and Sherry Allen of Garrett. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses, payments may be made over the phone via credit/debit card or in person.
