He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Chinn and Ida Belle Hocker Chinn; and his siblings, Archie Ray Chinn, John Harvey Chinn, Forrest C. Chinn, Anna Francis Kessinger, Donald Morton Chinn and Adrian J. Chinn.
He is survived by: his wife Linda A. Chinn of Beaver Dam; his daughter Angela Alvey (Mark) of Henderson; and his grandchildren, Todd Garner, Mindy Michele Jarboe, Shelby Diane Dockery, Kristopher Dale Alvey, Kyle Joseph Alvey and Kendra Marie Alvey. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
