He was predeceased by: his parents, Asa Coger and Tella Mae Poole Higbee; and his siblings, Chester Higbee, Margaret Berry, Thelma Curl, Allene and Asa Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Betty Casey Higbee; his children, Linda Jane Hillard (Tim) of Owensboro, Terry Higbee of Louisville and Steven Higbee (Andrea) of Plain City, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Whitney Morris, Nicholas Bohrer, Lesley Beams, Tiffany, Cassie, Isaac Hillard, Torri Mattes Higbee, Skyylar and Sienna Higbee. He is also survived by five great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bevil Bros. Funeral Home (226 Louisville Rd, Beaver Dam, KY 42320). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
