He was predeceased by: his father Clarence Abner. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann Worful Abner; his children, Mark Abner, Theresa Horton, Karen Alexander and Kim Edlin; and his brothers, Virgil Abner (Peggy) and G. H. Abner (Doris). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
