It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loretta Mayes of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, born in Fredonia, Kentucky, who passed away on October 29, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnson Lewis and Lucille Wells Lewis; and her sisters, Betty Sue Childress, Hazel Crowder and Norma Lee Jenkins.
She is survived by: her husband Fred Mayes; and her children, Larry Mayes (Debbie) of Beaver Dam, Randy Mayes (Susan) of College Grove, Jerry Mayes (Paula) of Beaver Dam and Lori Maple (Barry) of Bowling Green. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Bevil Bros. Funeral Home (226 Louisville Rd, Beaver Dam, KY 42320). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that expressions of sympathy take the form donations to Gideons International.
