He was predeceased by: his parents, John Calvert and Alma Louise Dunning Whitaker; his son Charles Earl Whitaker, Jr.; and his siblings, Bobby Whitaker, Johnnie Whitaker, Phillip Gene Whitaker and Elizabeth May Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa Ann Howard Whitaker; his daughters, Lisa Ann Reyes, Sara Ann Herrera, Beth Ann Whitaker and Sylvia Ann Johnson; and his siblings, Raymond Whitaker, Oather Whitaker, Victoria "Vicky" Howard, Anna Sue "Suzie" Jones, Margaret Francis Johnson and Helen "Darlene". He is also survived by Neighbors; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
