He was predeceased by: his father Mason Sweeney; and his brother Mason Sweeney, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Annie Sweeney (Chaffin); his wife Edith Sweeney (Davis) of Beauty, KY; and his sons, James Mason Sweeney of Kermit, WV and Ryan Thomas Davis.
