He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Maynard and Anna Mary McCoy Maynard; and his siblings, Pearl Maynard, Elbert Spaulding, Jr., Inice Moore, Betty McCoy, Pauline May, Grace Slone, Nellie Spaulding, Lizzie Slone, Juanita Shipe and Patty F. Cassady.
He is survived by: his wife Nyoka; his children, Eugene Maynard, Jr. (Rhonda) of Lenore, WV, Charles Raymond "Chuck" Maynard (Alicia Singleton) of Burgin, KY and Lisa Marcum (Virgil) of Beauty, KY; his brothers-in-law, Talmadge Jenkins, Tommy McCoy, Bill Shipe and Bob Slone; his grandchildren, Morgan Evans (Dave), Devin Maynard, Bryan Marcum, Rihanna Marcum, Chasity Harless (Ricky), Ethan Maynard and Mason Singleton; and his great grandchildren, Ella Evans, Eli Evans, Jaylyn Harless, Ricky Harless and Kyler Harless.
