He is survived by: his wife Cora Thorpe Allen of Beattyville; his children, Jerry W. Allen II (Becca Shouse) of Heidelberg, Scottie Allen of Beattyville and Haley Allen (Matthew) of Richmond, Kentucky; his sisters, Zelma Partin (Jim) of Lexington, Becky Deaton (Richard) of Beattyville, Ruby Smith (JR) of Richmond, Alma Allen of Beattyville, Mary "Miggie" Mullins of Richmond and Katrina Conley (Keith) of Richmond; and his close friends, Charley Cole of Beattyville, Ronnie Duff of Beattyville, Randy Ross of Beattyville, Deedle of Beattyville, Eddie Young of Beattyville, Sam Todd of Beattyville, Jerry Hayes of Beattyville, Johnny Johnson of Beattyville, Henry Brandenburg of Beattyville and Jeff Fox of Beattyville. He is also survived by other relatives and close friends.
