He is survived by: his wife Nancye Carol Spencer Smyth of Beattyville; his sons, Richard Wayne of Beattyville and Michael Stephen Smyth of Beattyville; his grandchildren, Emily Brienna of Beattyville and Logan Carter Smyth of Beattyville; and his sister Delilah Hall-Gould of Richmond, Kentucky. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
