He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Jean Mason Cooper; and his brothers, Gary and Jeffrey Cooper. He is survived by: his father James Cooper of Beattyville; his children, Shelby Kay Carothers of Beattyville, Kentucky, Ethan Cole Carothers of Beattyville, Kentucky and Destiny Hope Lynn Carothers of Beattyville, Kentucky; and his brothers, James Cooper, Aaron and Shane Carothers. He is also survived by one half-sister; and a host of other relatives and friends.
