She was predeceased by: her father Curt Collins; her husband Vernon Simpson; her children, Vernon K. Simpson, Jr. and Lydia Joyce Simpson Gaw; her son-in-law Paul David Hansel; and her granddaughter Andrea Michelle Simpson Dzuiban.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Louise Simpson Hansel (Rosspoint) and Dianne Simpson O'Dell of Shepherdville, KY.; and her grandchildren, Janet Hansel, Wendy Gaw Blanton, Harlan, Shannon Simpson of Fort Wayne, IN, Troy Gaw (Cindy), Rosspoint, Gwendolyn O'Dell and Logan O'Dell of Shepherdville, KY. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
