He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Johnson and Dora Johnson (Stewart); his siblings, Benny Johnson, Bill Johnson, Phyllis Miller and Jenny Johnson; and his in-laws, Paul and Mary Bell Asher (Hensley).
He is survived by: his daughters, Rachel Burkhart (Jason) of Ages, KY and Laura Curry (Justin) of Baxter, KY; his granddaughter Emma June Curry of Baxter, KY; his sisters, Liz Rapier, Darlene Lemarr and Vera Williams (Dennis Williams); and his caregivers, Jeff Roark, Brenda Hensley, Teresa Henry, Rick Brackett and Brandon Hampton.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Liggett Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Henson & Rich Funeral Home (414 E Mound St, Harlan, KY 40831). A burial was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Resthaven Cemetery Chapel (3000 State Hwy 840, Baxter, KY 40806).
