He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Taylor and Dora Taylor; his wife Thelma Taylor; his daughter-in-law Joy Taylor; and his siblings, Silas, Roy, Robert, Harley, Verna Quick and Sudie Mavilia.
He is survived by: his sons, Bobby Taylor (Annette) of Jacksboro, TN and Russell Taylor of Harlan; his sister Mattie Riley of Stockton, CA; his grandchildren, Amanda Dabney (Travis), Ryan Taylor (Laura), Jeremy Taylor, Kellie Taylor and Jody Taylor; and his great grandchildren, Lucas Taylor, Griffin Taylor, Taylor Dabney and Caleb Dabney.
