He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Lewis and Ethel Lewis; his wife Ida Mae Lewis; and his siblings, Cova Lewis, Snowden Lewis, Willie Lewis, Ray Lewis, Bonnie Helton, Ethel Howard and Sylvania Murphy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Hilda Sue Lewis (Susie) and Rose Marie Cohelia; his grandchildren, Stephen Lewis, Jennifer Chasteen, Elizabeth Lewis and Katharine Cohelia; his great grandchildren, Jonathan Lewis, Taylor Brooks, Sidney Horton, Jayce Young, Justyce Young and Jonas Cohelia; his great great grandchild Avery Pete Farmer; his sister Sybil Forrester; and his sister-in-law Annie Noe. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
