The memory of Clarence Turner of Baxter, Kentucky, who passed away on January 5, 2025 at the age of 84, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his mother Polly Jane Turner (Lewis); his wife Shirley Turner; his siblings, Lillian Gilvin, Johnny Turner, Willie Turner, Ray Turner, Opha Lewis and Lois Gilbert; and his son Clarence Anthony Turner.
He is survived by: his father Covie Turner; his sister Edna Mae Hollon; his children, Tim Pennington (Joy) and Angela Gambrel-Turner; and his grandchildren, Kenny Pennington (Alex), Jeffery Gambrel (Brittni), Autumn Cornett, Justin Gambrel (Shayla), Cade Pennington (Emily Evans) and Noah Roberts. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Anderson Laws and Jones Funeral Home (114 S 3rd St, Harlan, KY 40831). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
