He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Bert Tibbs and Helen Nadine Simons Tibbs; and his sisters, Peggy Marr, Patsy Tibbs and Helen Wray.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Norwood (Kenneth) of Greenfield, Tramanda White (Donnie) of Martin, Nancy Tibbs of Arlington and Kenneth Larry Tibbs (Rhonda) of Martin, Tennessee; and his siblings, Kathie Ladodie (David) of Paris, Sharon Whidden (James) of Dade City, Florida, Ronnie Tibbs (Jo) of Dukedon, Roger Tibbs (Mary Lou) of Dresden and Steve Tibbs (Suzanne) of South Fulton, Tennessee. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
