He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Louis Lydian and Georgia Louise Claxton; and his brothers, Robert "Red" Lydian, Brian Claxton and Carlos Claxton.
He is survived by: his children, Litisha Addy (Reggie), William Redd (Elaine), Mercedes Redd, Saundra Williams, Jumaane Johnson, LaTonye Smith and Virginia Smithers; his siblings, Tony Jacobs (Theresa), Marion Claxton, Dr. Ronald Claxton, Cynthia Claxton, Genita Claxton, Dale Claxton (Melissa) and Darnel Lydian; and his girlfriend Donna Cowherd. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
