We are sad to announce that on September 20, 2022, at the age of 74, Val Coomes Sr. of Bardstown, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Coomes and Nancy Coomes; his siblings, Elmer Coomes Jr., Ernie Coomes, Carolyn Ballard, Tina Ballard, Janie Murray, Pat Wise, Mary Hagan and Durinda Cowen; and his son-in-law Jerry Clark.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice Hardin Coomes of Bardstown; his children, Toni Coomes-Clark of New Haven and Valice Coomes Jr. (Ashley) of Bardstown; his grandchildren, Jacklyn Nation (Scotty), Michael Coomes (Alina) and Zachary Coomes (Rhonda); his great grandchildren, Adam, Jackson, Raylynn, C. J. and Noah; his sisters, Vivian Schepker of Bardstown and Pam Wright (Bill) of Cox's Creek; and his sister-in-law Patsy Cecil (John) of Bardstown. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
