He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Thomas and Irma Dant Thomas; and his siblings, Phillis Ann Thomas and Richard "Dick" Thomas, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Helen Hayden-Thomas; his children, Pat Thomas (Tammy) of Loretto, Brian Thomas (Mindy) of Loretto, Shane Hamilton (Jennifer) of Bardstown and Michelle Taylor (Kevin) of Cox's Creek; his siblings, Pam Medley (Danny) of Loretto, Ann Marie Ballard (Greg) of Holy Cross, John Dant Thomas of Loretto, Keith Thomas of Shepherdsville, Bernie Thomas of Taylorsville and Phillip Thomas (Amanda) of Atlanta, Georgia; and his sister-in-law Betty Jo Thomas of Louisville. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
