She was predeceased by: her husband John Junior Smith; her son Joseph Michael Smith; her parents, Joseph Benedict Yates and Mary Nalley-Napper of Virginia; and her brother Joseph Benedict "J. B.".
She is survived by: her children, Darlene Hoskins (Jim) of Lebanon, Johnny Smith (Debbie) of Lebanon, Steven Smith (Brenda) of Lebanon, Tim Smith (Julie) of Lebanon and Paul Smith (Dana) of Bardstown; and her siblings, Nettie "Rita" Mudd of Clarksville, IN, Brenda McCubbins of Louisville, Nelson David Yates of Louisville and Gerry Lee Yates of Fairfield. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
