He is survived by: his children, Gretchen Shanks of Seattle, WA, Roy Joseph Shanks, Jr. (Kathy) of Hillview and Thomas Leo Shanks of Bardstown; his siblings, Gloria Jean Linde of Augusta, GA and Donald Leo Shanks of Louisville; his grandchildren, Kelsey Callihan and Corey Shanks; and his great grandchild Jesi Shanks.
