He was predeceased by: his father Marvin Burton; his former wife Ruth Hellard Waldridge; his children, Robert Louis Waldridge, Jr. and Jeanette Waldridge; and his siblings, Edward, Thomas Waldridge, Nancy Waldridge and Geraldine Spalding.
He is survived by: his daughters, Yvette Oliver of Cox's Creek and Gayle Nation (Dale) of Lebanon; his stepdaughters, Gail Norris (Garry) of Bardstown, Sharon Kitzmiller (Cliff) of New Haven and Tammy Hefner (Richard) of New Haven; his daughter-in-law Brenda Waldridge of Louisville; and his siblings, Debbie Barnes of Bardstown and David Waldridge of Springfield. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 20 step great grandchildren.
