She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredrick Prechtel and Stella Schmitt Prechtel; her husband Bernard Andrew Matheis Jr.; and her brothers, Fred and Raymond Prechtel.
She is survived by: her daughter Stella Durbin (Roger Dale) of Bardstown; her siblings, Mary Alberhasky of Louisville, Billy Prechtel (Pat) of Hodgenville, Eugene Prechtel (Linda) and Bobby Prechtel (Kathi); and her grandchildren, Jessica Adamskie (John) and D. J. Durbin (Shannon). She is also survived by 2 great grandchildren.
