She is survived by: her husband Joseph R. "Ray" Newton; her children, Tonya Bird (Chris) of Versailles, Joseph Raymond Newton, II of Willisburg, Anissa Newton (Darrell Newcomb) of Elizabethtown and Dion Newton (Jamie) of Bloomington, Indiana; her grandchildren, Bailey Bird-Burnett, Alyssa Bird, Samantha Newton, Trey Newton, Sage Knoch, Cain Knoch, Avery Knoch, Clovis Newcomb, Wyatt Newton and Adaline Newton; and her siblings, Ina Steele of San Antonio, Peggy Lyvers (Wayne) of Shepherdsville, Debbie Rucker (Danny) of West Columbia, S. C., John Thomas "Tobin" Alvey of Indianapolis and Tony Alvey Sr. of St. Francis.
