She was predeceased by: her parents, James R. Blount and Lorene Blount (Preston); her husband Russell Lee Eckert; her daughter Joyce Ann Smock; and her siblings, James, Jerry, Donald Blount, Betty Caldemeyer and Jo Ann Goodrum.
She is survived by: her sons, Robert Lee Eckert (Suzanne) of Jasper and Roger Wayne Eckert (Patti) of Bardstown, Kentucky; and her sister Carolyn Parks of Boonville. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Nass & Son Funeral Home (208 Main St, Huntingburg, IN 47542). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 at the Birdseye Cemetery (400 Elm St, Birdseye, IN 47513).
