With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lena Sue Fawkes of Bardstown, Kentucky, born in Lynch, Kentucky, who passed away on October 18, 2023 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lena Sue Fawkes to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Damron and Mildred Comer Damron; and her husband James Eugene "Jim" Fawkes. She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Sweat (Steve) of Bardstown and Rachel Harney (Matt) of Cynthiana; her sisters, Barbara Jeanes of Louisville and Kay Hulsey of Knoxville, TN.; and her grandchildren, Daniel Sweat, Grace Sweat, Conner Harney and Cooper Harney.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to, Bardstown Baptist Church or the Nelson County Humane Society.
