He was predeceased by: his parents, William Linus and Alice Newton Cissell; his wife Peggy Dragoo Cissell; his daughter Mary Ann Cissell; his granddaughter Tasha Danielle; his brother James A.; and his half-siblings, Willett, Earl, Rollie, Ben, Billy, R. V. Cecil, Ruby Cecil, Gladys Humphrey and Mary Bryan.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Dickerson (Damian) of Taylorsville, Vickie Johnson (Tim) of Bakersfield, CA., Larry Cissell of Bardstown, Terry Heath (James) of Russell Springs, Doug Cissell (Penny) of McKee, Tonya Johnson (Charlie) of Cox's Creek, Tabitha Inghram of Bloomfield and Jacinta Revell (Steven) of Richmond; his siblings, Betty Ann Hillard, Mary Alice Cecil, Catherine Rose Newton and Michael Cissell; and his nephew Bernard Cecil. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great-great grandson.
