He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Hinkle Greenwell and Mary Lena Yates Greenwell; and his siblings, Judith Cassell (David), Becky Kappel (Tommy), Ronnie Greenwell and Edna Greenwell.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Hurst Greenwell of Bardstown; his daughters, Kate Childers (Brandon) of Bardstown and Jenny Newton (Jamie) of Bardstown; his grandchildren, Lila Childers, Kipton Childers, Cooper Childers, Graham Newton, Hudson Newton and Tripp Newton; and his siblings, Sandy Schaefer (Bobby), Jimmy Greenwell (Linda), Cathy Feldkamp (Mark) and Terry Wood (Woody).
