He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Leo and Mary Zita Miles Cissell; and his siblings, Geneva Walker, Mary Florence Sapp, Bernard, Harold, Tony, Joe and Donald Cissell.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Jane Nugent (Ray) of Loretto, Leon Cissell (Rose) of Loretto and Bob Cissell of Loretto; and his caregiver Annette Newton of Loretto. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mattingly Funeral Home (195 Holy Cross Rd, Loretto, KY 40037). A prayer was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (6785 KY-52, Loretto, KY 40037).
