He is survived by: his wife Beverly Walters Schurfeld; and his children, Denise Melton (David) of Alabama, Roy Schurfeld (Jeanie) of Alabama, Terry Schurfeld (Debbie) of Georgia and Sandra Holt (Tony) of Bardstown. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
