He is survived by: his sons, Joseph D. Riggs Jr. of Bardstown and Ritchie Riggs of Bardstown; his grandchildren, Cassity Riggs, Waylon Riggs, Kennedy Riggs, Adam Messer and Maddie Riggs; and his siblings, Tommy Riggs (Barbara) of Bardstown, Mike Riggs (Trish) of Bardstown, John T. Riggs (Melissa) of New Haven, Marie Culver (Daryl) of New Haven, Jeannie Rigsby (Lonnie) of Bardstown, Evelyn Settles of Bardstown, Irene Riggs of Bardstown and Faye Medley (Scott) of Gainesville, Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
