He was predeceased by: his former wife Betty Gilpin; his parents, Bill Gilpin and Mary Gilpin; and his siblings, Billie Ann Hewitt, Juanita Gilpin, Ollie Gilpin and Lee Roy Gilpin.
He is survived by: his wife Nannette Gilpin; his daughter Frances Fick (Daniel); his grandsons, Ryan Donahue (Jenna) and Blake Whisman; his great grandchildren, Mavrey, Kyson and Saylor Donahue; and his brother Glenn Gilpin of Bardstown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
