It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold Ray Prewitt of Bardstown, Kentucky, who passed away on December 16, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Prewitt and Ora Lee Bowman Prewitt; his wife Dorothy Prewitt; his granddaughter Britney Joe Prewitt; his stepgrandson Bradford Paul Shelton; and his siblings, Ruby Ethel Morris, Bonnie P. Sweazy, Hansford "Hank" Prewitt, Marvin Prewitt, Bro. James Norris Prewitt and William Kenneth Prewitt.
He is survived by: his children, Pam Shelton (Brad) of Elizabethtown and Joe Prewitt (Eva) of Bardstown; his siblings, Blanche Hardin of Chaplin and David Cody Prewitt (Marilyn) of Chaplin; his grandchildren, Missy Lanham (Corey), Chad Nalley (Bobbi), Brian Nalley (Melissa), Matthew Shelton (Katie) and Kristle Lewis (Mike); his great grandchildren, Logan, Brooklyn and Waylan Lanham; and his grandchildren, Hayden, Shelby Nalley and Luke Shelton.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Wickland Baptist Church.
