He is survived by: his wife Susan B. Hardin; his children, Daniel Hardin (Catherine), Aaron Hardin (Adrienne) and Sarah Ballard (Nathanial); his sister Regina Denis of Bardstown; and his grandchildren, Brooke Hardin of Bardstown, Matthew Hardin of Bardstown, Natalie Ballard of Bardstown, Mary Catherine Hardin of Bardstown and Joseph Daniel "JD" Hardin of Bardstown. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1475 New Shepherdsville Rd, Bardstown, KY 40004). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at the Bardstown Cemetery (804 N 3rd St, Bardstown, KY 40004).
