He is survived by: his wife Helen Thompson Halk of Bardstown, KY; his son David Halk of Pine Mountain, GA; his granddaughter Diana; his daughter Suzanne Schwaiger; his grandchild Claire Catterton of Pine Mountain, GA; his stepchild Nikki Prewitt (Chris) of Benton, AR; his grandsons, McCoy Thompson Prewitt and Davis Halk Prewitt; his stepson Michael Thompson of Bardstown, KY; his granddaughter Anna Rae Thompson; and his siblings, Gary Curtis Halk (Karen) of Elizabethtown, KY and June Halk Sullivan (Edgar) of Vero Beach, FL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
