It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gary Borland of Bardstown, Kentucky, born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on November 11, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Gary departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Gary may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Gary leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lee and Wanda Osborne Borland; his son Tracy Scott Borland; and his siblings, Charles Lee Borland III (Buddy) and Karen Diane Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Rita "Jo" Yates of Bardstown; and his brother Rodney Borland (Linda) of Leitchfield Kentucky. He is also survived by four nephews and two nieces.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Barlow Funeral Home (2675 E John Rowan Blvd, Bardstown, KY 40004). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
