He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Boyd and Blanche Rittenberry Boyd; his sons, Eugene Boyd, Jr., William Neil Boyd and Gary Wayne Cox; and his brothers, Joseph Logan Boyd and Virgil Boyd.
He is survived by: his wife Genevieve Coulter Boyd; his children, Gilbert Cox (Linda) of Bloomfield, Willie Cox of Chesapeake, Virginia, Wanda White (Pat) of Melbourne, Angela Johnson (Keith) of Shepherdsville and Patti Weikert (Mike) of Melbourne, Florida; and his sisters, Lois Carter of Elizabethtown, Geneva Badgett of Louisville, Nelceda Miller (Larry) of Sacramento and Yvonne Sims of Florida. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1475 New Shepherdsville Rd, Bardstown, KY 40004). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
