He was predeceased by: his mother Effie Smock Hardin; and his grandparents, William and Mary Powell Smock of Deep Creek. He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Eugene Smock of Boyle County and Sandra Lynne Smock of Boyle County; his grandchildren, Amanda Smock Orberson (Tommy) and Kenny Smock; his great grandchildren, Nathan, Sarah, Nicholas Orberson and Kendra Smock; his stepchildren, Kathie Votaw Brim (Keith) of Rockingham, Mike Votaw (Judy) of Danville and Rick Votaw (Mary Jane) of Lawrenceburg; his stepgrandchildren, David Brim, Chad, Brad Votaw (Shelli), Megan Miller, Amy Burris and Lori Baker (Dave); his half-siblings, Delaine Hardin (Patricia) and Mary Von Devine; his former wife Ruth Ellen Engle Smock; and his pets, Jack, Buster and Joy. He is also survived by 15 step-great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-great grandchildren.
