He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Sowards and Madge Blackburn; and his siblings, Homer Sowards and Jeanie Peach. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Sowards; his son Eric Sowards; his stepdaughter Janet Adams; his mother-in-law Bertie Clark of Bardstown; his grandchildren, Meagan Parker, Dalton Adams and Memphis Sowards; his great grandchild Elorie Parker; and his sister Patti Brown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
