It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles David Hood of Bardstown, Kentucky, who passed away on February 2, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ancil Hood and Margie Weakley Hood; his daughter Tabitha Murray; the mother of his children Mary Ann Murray; and his siblings, William Darrell Hood, Betty Jean Hood and Nancy Lois Hood.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tina, Katrina and Teaundra Miller (Orlando) of Danville; his siblings, Mary Heath of Bardstown, Frances Thornsberry (Mark) of Bloomfield, Elizabeth Hardin (Scott) of Bloomfield, Pattie Taylor (Bradley) of Bloomfield, Sissy Lee Woford (Keith Walls), Ancil Lee Hood of Springfield and Rufus Hood (Christy) of Bloomfield; his nephew Edward "Dirt" Heath; and his close friend Sheryl Young. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 8:30 AM at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home and Cremation Services (1475 New Shepherdsville Rd, Bardstown, KY 40004). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Bardstown Cemetery (804 N 3rd St, Bardstown, KY 40004).
