We bid farewell to Cecelia Elizabeth Hickman of Bardstown, Kentucky, born in Springfield, Kentucky, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 14, 2024 at the age of 82. Cecelia Elizabeth touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Marion Lee Hickman Sr.; her parents, James Harrison "Mose" Wright and Catherine Lou Linton-Wright; her siblings, Joseph Jody Wright, James Russell "Spleen" Wright (Josephine), Robbie Jean "Dump" Young (John Matthew), Mary Deloise "Lois" Logan (Charles Richard) and Hattie Catherine "Cathy" Railey; her close friend Ernest "Benny" Stoner; and her grandson Jordan Dewayne Hickman.
She is survived by: her children, Marion Lee Hickman Jr. (Heather) of Rockledge, FL, Brenda Kay Hickman of Bardstown, KY, Gary Wayne Hickman (Terrie) of Bardstown, KY and James Terence "Terry" Hickman (Kimberly) of Bardstown, KY; and her stepdaughter Sheryl Ann Thomas (Paul) of Louisville, KY.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1475 New Shepherdsville Rd, Bardstown, KY 40004). A prayer was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Monica Catholic Church (407 S Third St, Bardstown, KY 40004). A burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Cemetery (812 N 3rd St, Bardstown, KY 40004).
