Betty Gilkey McGirk Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Gilkey McGirk of Bardstown, Kentucky, who passed away on March 23, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John "Buddy" McGirk; her parents, David Edgar and Amy Susan Shipp Gilkey; and her siblings, Billy Gilkey, Bobby Gilkey, Alene Briggs and Anna Martha Pile.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Roberts (Steve), Sharon Hill (Frankie) and John McGirk Jr. of Bardstown; and her grandchildren, Matthew Roberts, Layla Mattingly, Jason Hill, Amy Dengel, Leah Williams, John Andrew McGirk, Valerie McGirk and Gloria McGirk. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may go to Humane Society of Nelson County or Woodlawn Methodist Church.
