He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Haydon and Martha Ball Spalding; his wife Ann Everett Spalding; his daughter Madge Spalding Polin; and his brothers-in-law, Paul Cowden and Addison Everett.
He is survived by: his children, Sallie Spalding Walsh (Chris), Kelley Spalding, Ben Spalding and Mary Spalding Hepditch (Scott); his sister Suzi Cowden; his nieces, Kelley Cowden Hodgson (Jesse) and Lucy Cowden Gess (Ben); and his grandchildren, Jacob, Elise Spalding, Haydon and Addison Hepditch.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Barlow Funeral Home (2675 E John Rowan Blvd, Bardstown, KY 40004). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral (310 W Stephen Foster Ave, Bardstown, KY 40004).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Haydon Spalding to Alzheimer's Association and Bethlehem High School.
