He was predeceased by: his wife Etha Mae King; his grandchildren, Hallie Elizabeth Cain and Bernie Dale Hardin Jr.; his parents, Lindsey King and Gladys King; and his brother Kenny King.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Cain of Lexington, Stuart King (Vickie) of Douglasville, Rick King (Jean) of Bardstown, Sue Hardin of Bardstown and Mark King of Bardstown; and his siblings, Carol Ethington of Cox's Creek and Bruce King (Judy) of Bardstown. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
